This is truly the most wonderful time of the year! Throughout the year, you may have had some hard and difficult times, were the ground under your feet felt like it was going to collapse. Enduring all the seasons of storms that life has confronted you with you manage to smile when you see a child’s face light up when you pull out the Christmas tree. How about when the first big snow fall and the children are outside making snow angels, or a kid knock on your door with his shovel, because he is trying to raise money to buy Christmas gifts.
If you are having a hard time getting in the Christmas spirit I recommend that you read story of “The Birth of Jesus Christ ” first! Knowing the meaning and comprehending the reason for the season take you to a place Of gratitude and humility. Christ is God’s gift to the world and in him is the fullness of joy. In the bible ,King David prayer to God was, “uphold me with your free spirit and whatever you do don’t take your joy from me” . David also says in the book of Psalms that , “the joy of the Lord is my strength”! You can get excited and you can even be happy, but only joy will take you through!
